"I was lucky enough for Retro Soul to be booked for the cruise I took on the Pacific Pearl in May, 2012. If there is any song that Michelle & the band can't cover brilliantly, then I haven't heard it, & I heard them perform a lot of songs. Michelle's interpretations of the great songs that make up the band's extensive repertoire were brilliant. Despite all of the other activities available on the ship, we found ourselves gravitating to wherever Retro Soul happened to be performing at the time, & always enjoyed the experience. I hope that somehow, some day I'll get another chance to watch the band perform (which could be hard unless they do another cruise contract, as I live in Melbourne, Australia). In the meantime I just hope that they go ahead with producing an album so that I can at least listen to them again.
